Sunday afternoons in Sutton-on-Sea have gained another dimension with a fortnighly music session at the Bacchus on the High Street. The Open Mic event, organised by Len Corns, attracts a wide variety of local musicians sharing their passion performing well-known and original numbers. You'll find everything from acoustic guitars, ukeleles, harmonicas, singers and even a steel band on occasion! The vibe is very relaxed and friendly and is a great way to while away a couple of hours with friends from 4-6pm.
All standards of musicianship are welcomed and encouraged. It's a great way for many to make the step from bedroom to small venue performance, which I took recently myself to perform "Ode to a 12 String.
