During my election campaign I promised to do a number of things for Sutton-on-Sea South.
Messages and emails I have received over the last week have convinced me that I must continue to be an advocate for the community, despite not being declared as elected. There are things that I am passionate about which I am well able to do without having Cllr in front of my name.
I feel a great responsibility to those who entrusted me with their vote on 24th August and I will act as an ambassador for Sutton. I will be planning visits to groups, organisations, clubs etc to get a feel for what they do and how they need supporting and promoting. I will celebrate the positive things that are happening in the community and present alternative solutions and ways forward for the negative things. I won't be tied to Town Council collective responsibility and I can speak freely as a true independent, informed by my collaborative approach with all stakeholders.
Unlike some who put themselves forward unsuccessfully, or perhaps even successfully, I am not going to disappear! I invite you to join the many others who follow my Facebook page, where you will be able to learn what I am doing and comment, ask questions and share your successes.
